Multifunctional house with timber merchant, building center, training facilities and studio housing.

The Johannes Fog building center in Lyngby will be rebuilt and expanded into a multifunctional house with six floors, so that it in the future will contain far more than just building materials. In future, the project will embrace both a timber merchant, a construction center, training facilities and studio housing.

Sweco's architects and engineers have been chosen by BAM Danmark as an integrated architect and structural designer. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2022.

Energy- and technical sustainability have been thought into the construction with a large number of solar cells which help to reduce energy consumption. The roof construction is mainly designed as a green sedum roof, which is an almost CO-neutral product that effectively relieves the diversion of rainwater by evaporation and delay.

DELTABEAM® Composite beams form the load-bearing system in the project and have been chosen to ensure comfort in construction as there is a low installation height and high rigidity. Peikko delivers 1.6 km. DELTABEAM® Composite Beams for the project.
