1182 Woodycrest Avenue is a 40,800 ft², 9-story multifamily apartment project made up of 53 units in the Bronx, New York.

The building offers 1, 2 or 3 bedroom affordable housing units and due to a special provision of the NYC Zoning Resolution, 9 of the 1-bedroom units will be made available for seniors.

Amenities include laundry facilities, an outdoor terrace, common room, parking as well as community space for senior residents.

The composite concrete flooring system chosen for the project is made up of DELTABEAM® and ComSlab® Long Span Metal Deck which allowed for integrated fire rating and higher floor to ceiling heights.

“By combining DELTABEAM® with a long span composite metal deck system, we were able to create an efficient fire rated low profile floor.” Using DELTABEAM® allowed for higher floor to ceiling heights giving more flexibility for the MEP installation”, said Jason Tarantino from JT Engineering, the structural engineering firm involved in the project.

The project is co-developed by the Bluestone Organization and Crown Holdings. Crown Architecture and Consulting is the architect while Banta Homes is the general contractor. The project is set to be completed before the end of January 2021.
